President – CA Residential
Bob Flannery serves as the President of CA Residential with a focus on CA’s national multifamily development platform, including strategic planning, acquisitions, capital markets, joint ventures and asset management activities. Bob is also active in decisions regarding the holding, selling, repositioning and refinancing of CA assets.
Bob has over 25 years of experience in commercial real estate and executive leadership, most recently as Chief Operating Officer at JRG Capital Partners. He has worked for many of the industry’s top firms, including Prudential Insurance, JP Morgan Chase and Sam Zell’s Equity Office. He has been involved in transactions totaling over $5 billion and has managed real estate portfolios consisting of office, retail industrial and multifamily in major markets throughout the United States.
Bob holds a BS in Finance from Northern Illinois University and an MBA in International Business from Wayne State University.
Chief Financial Officer – CA Residential
Brian Grady serves as the Chief Financial Officer of CA Residential, with oversight of all corporate and property level accounting, financial reporting, investor reporting and financial planning.
Prior to joining CA, Brian spent 11 years with RPAI, a publicly-traded REIT with $4.5 billion in gross assets, where he was most recently Vice President, Corporate Finance, responsible for the company’s forecasting, analytics and internal reporting. During his tenure at RPAI, he also held positions as Property and Corporate Controller and helped the company with its IPO.
Brian also spent seven years within the real estate practice of Deloitte. He graduated from DePaul University with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Executive VP – Development
Matt Booma serves as Executive Vice President of CA Senior Living and CA Residential, overseeing current and future senior developments. Matt focuses on all aspects of development including site feasibility, financial feasibility, site acquisition, building programming, entitlement, due diligence, contract negotiation, design oversight, technology implementation, construction management, budget oversight and civic coordination.
A keen eye for detail, Matt brings over a decade of experience as an architect to each CA development. Matt completed a variety of projects both domestically and internationally with Perkins + Will, working on higher education, residential, health care, hospitality, retail and office project types.
Matt holds a Masters of Architecture and Bachelors of Science in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a licensed architect and a LEED accredited professional.
Senior VP - Investments
Matt Katsaros serves as Senior Vice President of Acquisitions for CA Residential (CAR) and manages the firm’s conventional residential housing pipeline consisting of both acquisitions and development. Matt is responsible for the sourcing, underwriting, programming, deal structuring, and closing of future deals for CAR’s multiple disciplines. Matt is a fourteen year veteran of the multi-family housing industry and has been involved in over $1B in acquisitions and development.
Prior to joining CA, Matt co-led the acquisitions efforts at Pangea Properties (REIT).
Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Senior VP -
Asset and Portfolio Management
Jason Lewis serves as the Senior Vice President of Asset and Portfolio Management in the CA Residential vertical. Jason oversees asset management for CA’s national multifamily platform, and is focused on driving strategic portfolio initiatives, developing and implementing asset-level strategies, and investor relations.
Prior to CA Ventures, Jason was Partner, and Head of Asset Management at Capri Capital Partners, where he was responsible for overseeing the firm’s $4.0B portfolio, underwriting new acquisitions, financing and refinancing efforts, and leading dispositions nationally for the firm’s institutional clients.
Jason has an MBA from Columbia Business School and a B.S. from Morehouse College.
